PHILIP C BENEDICT, CFP - Governor

Phil is founder of Benedict Financial Advisors, Inc., a registered investment advisor. He became a member of the Georgia Association of Accountants and Tax Professionals in 1981. He is not directly involved with accounting and taxes, however, his planning firm is very involved with the financial lives of their clients which ties in very closely with the work of the client’s accountant. Though he gladly serves as a Governor this year, Phil has been active on the Board of Governors for several years serving in his capacity as President of the North Georgia Chapter.

Phil is an active speaker and writer on financial topics as they relate to the lives of people who are preparing for retirement, protecting their wealth and designing plans to transfer their wealth to their heirs.

He attended both Duke University in North Carolina and Bowling Green University in Ohio, graduating in 1968, with degrees in banking, finance and investments. After spending ten years in the income tax preparation industry, he founded Benedict Financial Advisors and has been in close contact with the accounting/tax preparation professions since that time.
